I put out the YEG series to celebrate some of the great things and places around Edmonton. I picked one place or thing for each letter of the alphabet. There might be some disagreement on what to use as sometimes there were more than one for each letter but I tried to pick something that I thought was very interesting or unique about Edmonton.
Whyte Avenue is one of the gems of Edmonton as there is so much to see and do!! Whether you're taking in a movie at the Princess Theatre, having supper at one of the many award winning restaurants, shopping at the multitude of unique stores or enjoying the night life at one of the bars, Whyte Avenue is a great place to meet up with your friends and have an awesome time!! There are also a number of festivals held throughout the year on or near Whyte Avenue such as the Fringe Festival, Ice on Whyte and the Art Walk. Also, the Old Strathcona Farmer's Market is open every Saturday all year long. Sorry WEM, you'll never be as great as Whyte Ave.!!!!
