Geocache Description:

NOTE: This is a short, two-stage multicache.  There is no physical cache at the given coordinates.  You will have to collect information there to calculate the coords for the final cache.

The Mural:

The given coords take you to a relatively new 15 by 90 foot mural downtown entitled “Current Events.” Justin Suarez, aka "Aerosol Kingdom," painted the mural over a 10-day period in August, 2020.  It depicts a river scene featuring an otter, beaver, small mouth bass, belted kingfisher, black stripe minnow and chinook salmon. Some of these species left the river more than 100 years ago, but have recently returned thanks to the revitalization effort of the Milwaukee River watershed.

Suarez is an artist based in Rochester, NY. He especially enjoys painting wildlife murals, so this project fit well with his talents and passion.

The mural is a project of Milwaukee’s Harbor District, which paired Suarez up with a scientist from the Water Institute.  They helped Suarez learn which species are currently present in the Milwaukee River.

The Final:

This cache once again highlights one of my favorite spots downtown.  My previous cache in a different location nearby kept getting muggled, so I had to archive it.  Hopefully, the change of location, cache size, and hiding method will grant this one a longer lifespan.

The final coordinates are N43 EF.AEC W087 AB.GDC

Three-digit number above door in middle of mural = ABC
Numbers in diamonds beside door: Blue = D; Red = E; Yellow = F
Number of minnows TO THE RIGHT OF THE DOORWAY = G

Feel free to check your calculations on the Geochecker:

Photos

Please don't post any photos that show the information around the door in the mural.

However, feel free to post nonspoiler photos from near the final coords in the Riverfront Launching Site. The view is just too good not to.

Permission:

Permission for the physical placement was provided by Brian Russart of the Milwaukee County Park System, Permit #715.

NOTE:  With this cache, the CO's streak of consecutive months with at least one new geocache placed is now at 28 months.
