This cache and the associated adventure labs are part of a plan to put some adventure labs along northern highways.
The listed coordinates are for the intersection of Cardington Road and the Flinders Highway, the bonus cache is not at that location. At the time of placing it contained some small swaps, note book and pencil.
This is an Adventure lab bonus cache. The cache location will be revealed in 2 stages of the Adventure lab cache 'Going with the flow on the Flinders Highway'. Keep an eye on the Journal entries after completing each stage. https://adventurelab.page.link/nR74
The adventure stops near 5 creeks and rivers on the highway between Townsville and Charters Towers. The stages can be done in any order so you may not need to complete them all to get the bonus cache.
The stages are; Over a Barrel, Reid between the lines, Who hears a haunty hauntingly Haughton? Upland wetland and The big B.
Please note that Reid between the lines (or trees) is accessible from parking near S19° 45.430' E146° 50.060' in the Reid River Rest Area and taking a short stroll to the zone.
Tbe Big B has a large active radius as testing found the phone coverage was patchy; loading the Adventure in the app up beforehand, noting the top of the flood sign and being patient with the app may be helpful.
There is room to pull over near each stage, Do not drive and lab cache at the same time.
Take care entering and exiting the highway as anything from a motorbike to a triple road train could be doing 110km/hr. Don't be too ambitious with other vehicles alertness and braking capacity, you can always go around.
