A very simple hide, on a rarely used trail on Sea Island.
In 2019, I saw my life turn upside down, and went in a direction I did not expect. Unemployed and uncertain, I went through some hard times, and found myself in a deep hole. Through these tough times, I have found immense gratitude with the support of friends. Geocaching has helped me tremendously as well, and provided some much needed relief through the stress.
For six months, I found a job with the facility across from the cache. It was at this bench I would sit, ponder life, and lace on my boots before my shift started. I spent many hours at this bench during my tenure with the workplace across the street, and I thought I would hide a cache here to remember this spot. I found a lot of peace here for some odd reason.
I thought I would share this spot with you. While it may be an insignificant spot for many, it is a bench that has a special place in my heart. A reminder of how I slowly pulled myself back out of the depths of dispair, and guided onto the path to success.
I checked on this cache before working on the profile. Turns out Mi-Jo found it accidentally! Congrats to him, but I will also honour the first cacher to find it after publication.

All the best, and happy caching.
