Geocache Description:

A series that will not only introduce you to some of the dog parks around the mornington peninsula but we will also be sharing some fun facts and information about a different breed of dog for every cache in the series! Although they are numbered they don't have to be done in order. We have also got our resident experts, Ebony (Gnome5580s geodog!) And Calypso (Beckgizs geodog!) Who will be giving each dog park a score of 1 to 5 paws depending on how much she approves of this park! 🐶 we hope you enjoy this series as much as Ebony and Calypso had testing each of these parks out šŸ˜‰ and on that note here is their opinion of this park:

COBB ROAD RESERVE:

This small fully fenced dog park is another nice quiet park on the outskirts of Mt Eliza. This park has a lot of nice big shady trees and several seats throughout. It's on a nice quiet street and has a lot of nice little nooks and crannies for your doggos to sniff around in! Unfortunately there is no water available at this park which is why Ebony and Calypso giveĀ this park 4 out of 5 paws! The breed we have chosen for this cache is:

French Bulldog:

The French Bulldog, French: Bouledogue Français, is a French breed of companion dog. It appeared in Paris in the mid-nineteenth century, apparently the result of cross-breeding of Toy Bulldogs imported from England and local Parisian ratters It is a stocky, compact dog with a friendly, mild-mannered temperament

The breed is popular as a pet andĀ in 2020, they were the second-most popular registered dog in the United Kingdom,Ā and the second-most popularĀ registered dog breed in the United States. They were rated the third-most popular dog in Australia in 2017.

Standard weight for a French Bulldog is maximum 28 pounds.Ā The head of a French bulldog should be square shaped and large, with ears that resemble bat ears. French bulldogs are a flat-faced breed

Acceptable colors under the breed standard are the various shades ofĀ brindle, fawn, cream or white with brindle patches (known as "pied"). The fawn colors can be any light through red. The most common colors are brindle, then fawn, with pieds being less common than the other colors.Ā
