Welcome to another letterbox cache in my postcode series, this time featuring Karoonda, in the heart of the mallee. This town is a welcome break between Murray Bridge and Loxton, and is home to some interesting caches that are a diversion from all the wandering heroes. Be sure to have a look at pioneer park, where there is the restored Kullara Post and Telephone Office, which served the area until 1953 and claims to have been the smallest in South Australia.
At the listed coordinates you are in front of the present day post office. Seek the following numbers from the bank of post boxes to find the location of the cache, a short drive away (you could walk it if you are keen).
Let AB be the number of the box below #10
Let CD be the number to the left of #61
Let FG be the number to the left of #41
The cache is located at S 35º 06.(G - 2B)BC E 139º 53.GF(A + B + F) Checksum of the minute decimals is 27.
Please take care on the roads here; traffic may be infrequent, but fast! Be wary of potential wildlife at GZ, and remember that the stamp is not swag and remains with a letterbox cache. I hope you enjoy your time in Karoonda.
