La Spiaggia delle colonne romane è un prolungamento della spiaggia Rena di Levante o Zia Colomba, situata a Santa Teresa di Gallura nella località di Capo Testa.
In questo lembo di spiaggia sono ancora ben visibili i resti delle cave di granito romane, infatti tutto il promontorio fu anticamente utilizzato dai Romani come cava di granito per la realizzazione delle opere dell’impero.
Si dice che il Pantheon di Roma sia stato realizzato in parte con il materiale proveniente da Capo Testa.
Ancora oggi sulla spiaggia e nei fondali circostanti è possibile trovare numerose colonne e pareti granitiche lavorate dall’uomo e dall’azione del mare.

The beach of the Roman columns is an extension of the Rena di Levante or Zia Colomba beach, located in Santa Teresa di Gallura in the locality of Capo Testa.
In this strip of beach the remains of the Roman granite quarries are still clearly visible, in fact the whole promontory was formerly used by the Romans as a granite quarry for the construction of the works of the empire.
The Pantheon in Rome is said to have been partly built with material from Capo Testa.
Even today on the beach and in the surrounding seabed it is possible to find numerous columns and granite walls worked by man and by the action of the sea.
