2 Roos, and some other historical points in Lambton Park.
The land here was first gazetted as a public park in 1887, and since then has been the recreation centre of the area. Originally declared as 'commonage', people had begun building houses and grazing on the land in the years prior, but action by the then Mayor, Thomas Croudace, paved the way for the land to become parklands, and 46 houses were removed from the site.
The central rotunda was built a few years later, and opened in 1890.

Start in the area of the 2 Roos (at published coordinates). These roos are replacement bronze roos, installed in 2017. The original ones, made of artificial stone, seemed to have been vandalised and degraded and disappeared before WW2.
