Hulsey Public Library now houses the only public library in Terrell. Before moving the library to a more modern facility the original Terrell Library opened its doors in 1904 through the efforts of local women's clubs. The building was a gift of public benefactor Andrew Carnegie. Only library in Kaufman County; has been information center for students of five local colleges and a site of early civic functions.</INSERT>
