You can enter the walkway at the end of Montrose Road. Once you have found the cache carry on walking and it will take you to Gilmour Park which is the end of the walkway.
You can also start the walk from Gilmour Park. The entrance is across the lake from the car park and takes you under the bridge of SH2.
This is one of many walks in the area that follows the Ohinemuri River.
Since hiding this cache this walkway has been upgraded and is now part of the Hauraki Rail Trail. Work in progress but eventually the rail trail will be extended from Waihi Railway Station, down Victoria Street and along the Ohinemuri river taking you to Gilmour Park and then to town.
Have put a couple of items in the cache that you can trade plus a pencil. Would recommend you bring your own pen just in case.
