So while I was at my mom's house for the end of the weekend we decided to take the dogs for a hike around Thumb Butte. Needless to say, I hid a cache and turned it into a puzzle. So here goes!
Last weekend I had the pleasure of celebrating the birthday of a dear friend, Joy.
We started the evening at an escape room. My girlfriend and I were a little bit late to the first event but managed to find the time to find one quick LPC, which was conveniently located right next to our parking spot. We signed the log as fast as we could, (I noticed ezramegli had signed the cache the same day), and made our way into the escape room lobby. We met up with all the friends that were gathered together to celebrate the birthday of our mutual friend, Joy.
The attendants separated us into two groups to tackle two different rooms. I was very excited as this was my first escape room ever and from what I've heard, it seemed a lot like geocaching. Minus finding and signing a log that is. There were a few clever tricks in the room that gave me ideas for future hides. One puzzle I especially took a liking to involved a telephone in a case that had a 3-digit combo lock on it. We had to find a clue and convert it to numbers to get the lock open! This was one of the many puzzles we had to solve to get out of the room. Our group managed to barely make it out of the room alive. The clock ticked to almost under a minute before the door finally swung open and our path to freedom was made apparent.
The rest of the revelries for the evening included dinner, darts, and more geocaching. It was such a wonderful time celebrating Joy's birthday.
