[GDI] Giro delle idrovore – Ponte delle Bilance
[ITA] Questa cache fa parte di una serie che vi porterà a scoprire i territori della grande bonifica del Veneto Orientale e del Basso Piave, tra antichi e moderni manufatti, immersi nello splendido paesaggio litoraneo e rurale fra Torre di Fine, Caorle, Eraclea e Brian, circondato da distese di fertili colture, agriturismi, idrovore monumentali e particolari, fossi, frutteti, ponti e canali. Il percorso, da farsi preferibilmente in bicicletta, è stato ideato con l’aiuto di 29 pollici, grande amante delle idrovore.
Il Ponte delle Bilance è un ponte che collega la città di Caorle con alcune frazioni, tra cui Ca’Corniani. Manufatto tipico del Novecento, è stato restaurato nel 2018. Il ponte attraversa il fiume Livenza ed è testimonianza dell’importante navigabilità di un tempo del corso d’acqua. Il ponte è costruito in cemento, le bilance hanno una struttura metallica e il pavimento è di tavole di legno. Esso funziona manualmente ed è uno dei due ponti levatoi a bilanciere rimasti nella zona (l’altro è il Marangon). Essendo in prossimità di uno degli accessi alla tenuta Ca’Corniani, è stato segnalato da una delle opere realizzate da Alberto Garutti.
Con il ponte alle spalle, guardando verso ovest, vedrete una grande scritta calligrafa: si tratta di un’opera dedicata al cielo.

[ENG] This cache is part of a series that will take you to discover the territories of the great reclamation of Eastern Veneto and the Lower Piave, between ancient and modern artifacts, immersed in the splendid coastal and rural landscape between Torre di Fine, Caorle, Eraclea and Brian, surrounded from expanses of fertile crops, agritourisms, monumental and particular water pumps, ditches, orchards, bridges and canals. The route, preferably to be done by bicycle, was designed with the help of 29 inches, a great lover of water pumps.
Ponte delle Bilance is a bridge that connects the city of Caorle with some hamlets, including Ca'Corniani. Typical artifact of the twentieth century, it was restored in 2018. The bridge crosses the Livenza river and bears witness to the once important navigability of the waterway. The bridge is constructed of concrete, the scales have a metal frame and the floor is made of wooden planks. It works manually and is one of the two rocker drawbridges left in the area (the other is the Marangon). Being near one of the entrances to the Ca'Corniani estate, it was marked by one of the works created by Alberto Garutti.
With the bridge behind you, looking west, you will see a large calligraphy writing: it is a work dedicated to the sky.
