Pi Day comes once again.  Pi has a long history and I can personally attest to the fact that it has been around at least since I was in school, which was way back in the last century.  Historians say that it dates back around 400 years which is before I was in school.

Pi is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to the radius of that circle and if that division is carried out to 2 decimal places the result is 3.14.  Thus March 14th is the day we celebrate Pi.  If you carry it out a little farther it looks like 3.14159.

Then there is the story of the boy who came home from school and told his dad that he learned about πR2.  Dad promptly stated that cake are square and pie are round. But I digress.

Whatever you know about this subject, it is appropriate to discuss it at a gathering on March 14.

Thus, please come and join us at Anderson Snow Park on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 1:30.  At the stroke of 1:59 we can send up a hip-hip-hurray to celebrate.

Bring a friend, bring a chair, bring some amazing trivia to share.  Come when you can.  Leave when you must.  Hope to see you there!
