Traseul de faţă doreşte să aducă în atenţie persoane, care au avut idei valoroase şi au reuşit să le valorifice, intrând astfel în istorie. Puţini însă cunosc invenţiile lor şi aportul acestora la dezvoltarea societăţii de azi.

Stephanie Louise Kwolek este cunoscută ca inventatoarea kevlarului, un material sintetic de cinci ori mai dur decât oţelul. Patentat în 1966, kevlarul nu rugineşte şi nu se corodează, fiind şi foarte uşor. Stephanie ar trebui să fie pomenită de cei mai mulţi poliţişti, pentru că vestele lor antiglonţ sunt din kevlar. Şi pentru că ar fi fost stupid să se risipească o aşa bunătate de invenţie, folosirea kevlarului s-a extins pentru: cablurile subacvatice, vehicule spaţiale, bărci, paraşute, schiuri si construcţii civile.

Stephanie Louise Kwolek is known as the inventor of Kevlar, a synthetic material five times harder than steel. Patented in 1966, Kevlar does not rust or corrode, and is very light. Stephanie should be mentioned by most cops, because their bulletproof vests are made of Kevlar. And because it would have been foolish to squander such a good invention, the use of kevlar has spread to: underwater cables, spacecraft, boats, parachutes, skis, and civil engineering.
