As you walk the trails in this odd little park, you see a squat figure with a tall hat. His face alternates between a beaming grin and a fearful grimace.
"Hello, Halloween Town geocacher! As you may have heard, I was rudely evicted from my office nearby. I've been forced to take slightly less accommodating...well, accomodations. Nothing fancy here, no maps, no stamps, just glad to have visitors again after quite the frightful month in limbo. Just take the side path over there, and it's just a little further into the woods. But do please let me know if you hear of any graveyards nearby that are available, I'd love to upgrade my quarters!"
There is a code word in the cache log. It doesn't seem you need it for the final in the series, but it's still there just in case.
The cache is hidden just off a dirt path in Springfield Forest Park, a/k/a Franconia Forest Park, which is open dawn to dusk and is on the list of caches that does not require prior approval for geocaches. Free parking available at the additional waypoint. Metro riders can walk up from Franconia-Springfield.
No night caching, please!
