Tom Brady. Seems he's everywhere today. He announced his retirement from the NFL today, and I had to loop him into a puzzle. This isn't easy for me. As a lifelong Dolphins fan, Brady-hating came naturally. But I was taught to respect greatness.

There are so many records held by TB12, so many statistics that TB12 blows away. This puzzle started when I saw how much he has lapped the pack on a statistic called NFL Approximate Value, or AV. It's a cool metric that—among other things—can put players of different positions, of different eras, on the same scale. For example, you could compare Mike Haynes, long ago of the pre-Brady Patriots, to Jim Kelly, an AFC East gunslinger whose career ended just before the dawn of TB12's. You could compare Tiki Barber, whose team famously got the better of Brady's, to Anthony Muñoz. While you're at it, you could compare Wilber Marshall to Joe Greene. How do Lawrence Taylor and Richmond Webb fare? You could find that out too. When you get some numbers, make sure you add 0.010 to the west coordinates, and then use the checker if you want to confirm.
