Nice views here. DO NOT ACCESS THIS CACHE FROM HIGHWAY 97
There is talk of making this part of an Okanagan Trail system - coming from Penticton on the KVR to Summerland, Garnet Valley Rd, Fur Brigade Trail, Hardy Rd to Peachland, along waterfront to Buchanan Rd, Drought Hill bypass to Seclusion Bay, Goats Peak trail joining onto Gellately Rd. south and along the West Kelowna waterfront. This trail can be accessed from the end of Drought Road or from the cul de sac at Robinson Lane (Buchanan Rd). I've heard of someone who bikes this regularly but it looks pretty rocky and narrow to me.
Please do not access Drought Road from the South Bound lane of Highway 97 as there is no left turn lane and a lot of traffic that comes up quickly behind you!! Less than a km south turn left onto Buchanan Rd, u turn, and head north on Highway 97. Not much space to turn around on Drought Rd so wouldn't recommend trying to access this while you are towing something. It is actually the very narrow "old" highway. If you want to access the south bound lane of Hwy 97 from Drought Rd I would suggest turning right and going up to the Seclusion Bay Rd or the Gellately/Glenrosa overpass not far up the road.
