This is my first geocache ever, located in my neighborhood - Al Reem island. The place is very special - it symbolizes rapid development of UAE, change, environmental sacrifce and mystery. The cache is located on a slipway belonging to demolished palatial property. I tried to understand what was it and spent sometime researching, but found nothing really. So who lived there is a mystery for now. The attached pictures show satelite imagery snapshots for years 2010, 2012 and 2021. You can see the property in its late glory in 2010 and then demolished already in 2012. Observe how the mangrove forrest is reduced in size, making space for a construction placeholder to happen in the future.

Also below is a picture of the place taken from the 65th floor of nearby Sky Tower. Picture was made in Decemeber 2011. Observe the nature at that time.

Cache description:
Regular size 'lunchbox' with pen, pencil, logbook, FirstToFind badge (take it if you see it), geocaching pin, a lighter and a torchlight. Feel free to trade in similar value items.
Getting there:
From the marked parking area, follow the old entry road to the palace, pass by the old building to your right - part of the property, climb the little hill at the back of it and then follow to the end of the slipway until you're standing between the two gateway-like poles. Your search starts here.
