O Jardim da Fonte Férrea é um espaço verde no interior da vila e que se destaca pelo caráter histórico que detém em Odemira. É um jardim público, constituído por zonas ajardinadas, passeios largos, árvores frondosas, viveiros de plantas e uma fonte, da qual derivou o nome atribuído ao jardim.
O jardim está organizado por patamares: na parte inferior e plana desenvolve-se o jardim organizado por canteiros e alamedas de árvores com sebes e, na parte superior encontra-se a coleção de plantas de época – herbáceas – com interesse cultivar e que são prova de um viveiro antigo existente no local. A fonte de águas ferrosas é o ponto de maior interesse por ser o elemento que originou a criação do jardim.
De entre o vasto elenco vegetal que se pode encontrar no jardim, as maiores árvores garantem sombra no verão e a água que corre pelos solos torna o espaço mais fresco e atrativo para atividades ao ar livre junto à natureza.
A importância do jardim para a biodiversidade é notável, sendo a sua manutenção e preservação um aspeto chave para a boa qualidade dos serviços ecológicos que desempenha, e nomeadamente a presença de insetos, fungos e aves cantantes de pequeno porte revela a importância que este espaço tem para o ecossistema.

Esta cache têm o propósito de fazer conhecer o Jardim da Fonte Férrea onde pode num dia de calor aproveitar a sombras das árvores de grande porte que são abundantes na zona.
A cache é ideal para fazer em familia ou como ponto de descanso.

OBS: Este jardim é frequentado pela fauna jovem ao fim da tarde, recomenda-se discrição ao pé da cache.
O jardim e o seu percurso é acessivel a cadeira de rodas, no entanto a altura onde está a cache é necessário ajuda para retirar e colocar a cache e a sua camuflagem no seu lugar.
Ao colocar de volta a cache no seu ninho, pede-se que coloque a camuflagem como estava, ela gosta de tar aconchegada. :)
Jardim da Fonte Férrea is a green space inside the village that stands out for its historical character in Odemira. It is a public garden, consisting of landscaped areas, wide walks, leafy trees, plant nurseries and a fountain, from which the name given to the garden was derived.

This cache has the purpose of making known the Fonte Férrea Garden where you can enjoy the shade of the large trees that are abundant in the area.
The cache is ideal to do as a family or as a resting point.

OBS: This garden is frequented by young fauna in the late afternoon, discretion is recommended close to the cache.
The garden and its route are wheelchair accessible, however the height where the cache is necessary help to remove and put the cache and its camouflage in place.
