The ironically or wishfully named Haitian area, suggesting views of water and sky, provides not much of either in this interior access alleyway.
The cache location is surrounded on all sides by a dense cluster of highrise and mid-rise buildings built in the 1990s. The narrow, dark alleyway with a cave-like feeling here sees a constant flow of people accessing the interior. In 2021 a lift was shoehorned into the alleyway, straddling the adjoining property line but serving only the building to the west.
The riverside walkway and park a few hundred metres to the west of the cache received a major upgrade in 2020 and 2021 with new paving, landscaping and public space elements transforming the area and drawing large volumes of pedestrians especially on weekends.
