Over the River Series: A series devoted to exploring stories of my family's past in East Tennessee.
Background: Although 25E was our usual route to visit Mamaw and Papaw in Middlesboro, when we lived in Knoxville we would also occasionally take TN-33 north through Union County. It was a different kind of trip, a slow drive through the county on a two lane road, but it was still a fun adventure. Crossing the lake was always my favorite part of the trip.
