This is a special spot our family has visited for decades. During opening fishing season you may see a lot of traffic, but most days is quiet and serene. Benches for sitting and new picnic tables installed for a nice lunch spot. A scenic visit along the Rockaway River. Small parking lot available on Jackson Avenue. Terrain is a little rocky on the route to the cache, but our little ones had no trouble getting here. No need to go on the train tracks to reach the destination. After a heavy rain the river may flood, leaving mud and sticks behind, so choose footwear wisely depending on weather! An unfortunate amount of trash in recent years has been washing up on the shores of the river. CITO if able!
