I must have bought my first record player before 1969, because I remember very well that this record was spinning constantly on my turntable at first: EKSEPTION from 1969.

It wasn't the only one from EKSEPTION that stayed in my record cabinet. The group came from Haarlem in the Netherlands and on some of the group's recordings Rick van der Linden - the leader of this group - plays the organ in Haarlem's St. Bavo's Church. This organ was created by Christian Müller in 1738. Georg Friedrich Handel is said to have played it in 1740 and the ten-year-old Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart also played it in 1766.
It was only when I was working on this series that I found out that Rick van der Linden died in 2006 as a result of a stroke.
