Well then, with this record I can further narrow down the purchase date of my first turntable. It must have been 1967. That's when this LP came out.
In collector circles it is probably one of the most valuable Beatles LPs ever. From where I know this? Then read this story:
In 2001 I decided to part with my vinyl records and put them up for sale on ebay. Since selling individual records was too difficult for me, I put together packages of ten records each. I offered each package for auction with a starting price of 1 DM. The LP package that contained this Beatles LP achieved over 700 DM. All other packages brought in a maximum of 20 DM. What was going on?
This record was not a first release, but a secondary exploitation and secondary compilation of Beatles songs, which was offered in a small edition to its subscribers via the Herder Book Club. My mother was in this Herder Book Club and I ordered them from there. 35 years later, collectors are clamoring for this piece, because only with this record their collection will be complete. Never meant to be played!

Looking back today, it is hard to understand why rows of girls fainted at the sight of these well-behaved boys:
