Geocache Description:

My husband mc3cats used to drag me along on many caching trips or we would be coming home from dinner or an errand and have to stop and do a cache or two. One memorable one was down in the Kent valley. It was a flyer posted on a phone pole (cache hidden in plain sight). From what I’ve been told the cache owner was an expert at hiding caches in plain sight. I was an instant fan and have taken on the challenge myself.

Hidden in plain sight may be a new concept for some- not an ammo can or a small box or even a bison tube or nano button. Hidden in plain sight means blending in with the surroundings. It does not mean just jumping out of the car and grabbing a box hidden under some leaves or a magnetic tube inside a guard rail. It involves scoping out the surroundings and thinking outside the box, looking at things in a different way.

Many of you have found a few of my caches. Quite a few of them (or maybe most) are “hidden in plain sight”. (sorry, no secrets given here ) You have to look around the area of coordinates and observe what blends in to the environment and what could be used as a cache. “What would I least suspect?” you could ask yourself.

I read quite often on logs that my caches must be missing since cachers cannot find them. Often they are still tucked safely in their spots “hidden in plain sight” just waiting to be discovered. Hopefully by reading this cache page you might start thinking about things in plain sight in a different way.

Try some of my other caches. They are fun. Enjoy!
