Geocache Description:

This cache is at the posted coordinates.

Background

Welcome to my series of odd and miscellaneous challenges.

The idea for this challenge comes from another challenge I've been working to complete. (I hope maybe someday I'll finish it.) As with a few of my other challenges, the concept for this one seemed so obvious once I saw the output from that other challenge's checker.

This challenge combines two well known challenge criteria, the Difficulty/Terrain grid aka Fizzy grid and cache attributes, with, what appears to be, another very common challenge theme - Bingo. Apparently bingo seems to trigger an emotional roller coaster for some people - the anticipation, tension, competition, stress and then excitement, jubilation, celebration, happiness, and relief if they win vs. disappointment and sadness if they don't. I'm just hoping this challenge evokes a sense of joy for you.

The Challenge

If you consider the Difficulty/Terrain grid to be like a 9x9 square sized Bingo card, then to qualify for this challenge, you must fill in every square in one horizontal row and one vertical column in the D/T grid with the same attribute. In other words, you must find 17 caches with the same attribute to fill in the D/T grid in a 'cross' pattern similar to what is shown below. Any row and any column will do and the same cache can be used at the "intersection point" of both lines. It's almost like the Free Space on your Bingo card.

Alternatively, you can complete this challenge by filling in both diagonals with the same attribute as well.

Any of the following 108 attributes (67 positive and 41 negative) can be used for this challenge -

The Requirements

Some more things about the challenge to be aware of:

  • All cache types except adventure lab caches and benchmarks can be used for this challenge.
  • Your D/T (aka Fizzy) grid does NOT have to completed in for the challenge, although it certainly doesn't hurt to have it completed.
  • The following attributes are excluded from this challenge - Needs maintenance Needs Maintenance, Partnership cache Partnership cache, and Lost and Found tour Lost and Found tour.
  • There is no time limit for when these cache are found. In other words, they do not all have to be found in one day or any other specific time period.
  • And the order you find these caches is irrelevant as well.
  • In the past, it was possible to log the same cache multiple times. Those caches will only be used once for this challenge.
  • Past finds count. Any caches that you have found and have been archived or disabled after you have found them can be used for this challenge if it meets the criteria.

The fine print

CO reserves the right to make any changes to this challenge if any issues or ambiguities are discovered. CO will be fair but has the final say on any events, caches, finds, or logs that are questionable. CO reserves the right to delete any logs if problems are found.

Finding This Cache

Do NOT access this cache from Highway 2. Please use the nearby service road instead.

Please remember to be respectful of the cache location. Be aware of how and where the cache is "attached" so that it can be put back in exactly the same way and in the same place for the next person(s) to enjoy. Only the "inner" portion of the cache needs to be removed to log the cache. The container may not be accessible during the winter months.

Logging This Cache

As with any challenge caches, you are welcome to physically sign the log for this cache and log it as "Write Note" if you haven't met the challenge's requirements yet. Please bring your own pen(cil)/writing instrument to sign the log.

Please use this Project-GC challenge checker below to verify if you have qualified for this challenge.

PGC Checker

BINGO! You can only log a "Found It" entry online after you've hit the jackpot and completed the challenge and signed the log. All non-qualifying "Found It" logs will be deleted without notice.
