Everyone's favorite antagonist, Fariy Godmother, is on the scene. She will help you navigate the handful of caches we have here at the park and require you to gather information along the way that will lead you to her castle up the road. Fariy Godmother is a bonus cache to our Shrek series here at Church Hill Park so be prepared to be illuminated by her charm.
Stage 1 is Key for most of the info necessary to complete this multi and also provides the means to the end. In particular, be sure to note the AKA name of the "in memory of" person named on the plaque, you'll need that later down the road. With that information in hand, you now have to solve the following simple puzzles to obtain the coordinates to the cache. Assume N39 A.BCD, W75 EF.GHI.
The plaque at Stage 1 will provide A, D, E, F & H. The remaining info will require a visit to a few of the characters in the park. For "A" use the numeral of the month the plaque was dedicated. For "D" take the date the plaque was dedicated and subtract 17. For "E" add the number of letters of the President's first name plus middle initial. For "F" add the number of letters of the VP's first name plus middle initial. The last item needed at Stage 1 is "H" which is the last number in the year listed on the plaque.
Stage 2 leads you to the field opposite Donkey where you'll find the number for "B." What is the Field # on the backstop?
Stage 3 delivers you to the one and only Ogre of the hour, Shrek! For "I" you need the sum of all vertical and horizontal items of Shrek's host. Only count those on Shrek's side of the path and not those on the swamp side. Then, while heading to Stage 4, count the number of field lights on the football field and add 1 to come up with "G." We can't leave out the lights!
Stage 4 brings you near everyone's favorite feline, Puss in boots. Here you are looking for "C" by counting the number of basketball hoops.Stir all that together, combined with the Key name from the start, and you are well on your way to another smiley. A favorite scene for us is when Fairy Godmother stops at Friar's Fat Boy for some fast food.. Medieval Meal anyone? Maybe a slice of pie for dessert?
