The Texas Spirit Quest
is a series of Caches placed by a few individuals, near cemeteries and historic sites in hopes of paying respect to the many pioneer ancestors that have ‘walked’ before us.
There are hundreds of cemeteries in the rural communities across Texas. This series will introduce you to many of them. The cache pages will provide a virtual history tour of the cemeteries, tombstones and local lore.
There are 26 burials at this site, with dates of death ranging from 1861 to 1974. Members of the Alford, Giles, Jourdan, and Thurman families have been laid to rest here.
Roadside parking may be a bit tight if you have a wide vehicle. Please note that the gate to this fenced site is padlocked shut. However, you need not enter the grounds to make the find. As always, any refinements to the listed coordinates are welcomed.
