So welcome to the top of the driveable portion of the Trans-Canada highway. This is the Malahat summit. The sign does state that this point is 352m (1155 ft) above sea level.
Take a bit of time to enjoy the beautiful views. It is breath-taking. So many times we may have just driven by this while wanting to go up-island as quickly as possible. Now you have a reason to stop.
In order to claim the find; you must "go" approx 50m to your right. There are "#2", porta-potties over there. Send me the # of either, to let me know you "went" there. Beware, the aromatic aromes can be rather pungent on hot, sunny days.
