Geocache Description:

Tuross River Entrance Lookout

TUROSS HEAD is a quiet seaside community located on a headland that juts out into the Tasman Sea with Coila Lake to the north and Tuross Lake and Tuross River to the south making the headland virtually surrounded by water. Being on a headland means that the road is effectively a dead end so it misses the traffic of the busy Princess highway.

A popular location for holidays, retirement or just a great place to live makes Tuross a popular place for Canberran's. So a surprise encounter with a Canberra local is never far away.

I have been visiting the area since I was a young child as my grandparents at the time lived in the caravan park near this spot. Swimming, riding and just hanging about has created many fond memories

At this location is a newish look out along a popular board walk. The view from this location showcases the sea entrance of Tuross River. Every time I visit it's different. From completely sand locked to 500 meters wide. The shifting sands are amazing!

To let me see this ever changing vista I'd love to see your photos!
