Explore the Gladstone Nature Park's approximately 10 acres of walking trails and paved path. Look for the Butterfly/Pollinator Hill and the Peace Tree. Keep your eyes out for wildlife and blooming plants. Today, I saw two small garter snakes enjoying the sunshine.
In 2020, to mark 75 years of peace between Japan and the U.S. since World War II, 30 Oregon communities committed to plant peace trees. You will find a peace tree in the Gladstone Nature Park. This tree was grown from a seed that was collected from trees that recovered from the bombing of Hiroshima, Japan. You can find several aticles online about this peace tree program.

This park has many great hiking paths, just watch out for the poison oak that can be found in the park if you go off the paths.
