El Arco de Medinaceli, localizado en la municipio de Medinaceli, antigua Celtiberia, constituye una de las obras de construcción único de triple arcada romana más conservadas en la Península Ibérica. Su función era dar acceso al recinto amurallado, marcar la separación de distintos conventos jurídicos y dejar constancia del poderío del imperio romano. El arco fue declarado Monumento Histórico Artístico Nacional en el año 1930.
Los estudios de datación indican que el monumento fue erigido durante el reinado del emperador Adriano (117-138 d.C.), en el siglo II d.C. Las medidas del conjunto son de 13’20 m. de largo, 2’10 m. de ancho y 8’10 m. de altura.
Desde aquí la panorámica es excelente. Puede contemplarse el cerro de la Villa Vieja (Occilis), el cidiano valle del Arbuxuelo y el del Jalón, también las salinas.
El arco se utiliza como símbolo de sitio histórico de España en todo el país.

The Arch of Medinaceli, located in the municipality of Medinaceli, ancient Celtiberia, is one of the most exceptional Roman construction works preserved in the Iberian Peninsula. The only roman arch with three archways in the peninsula. Its function was to give access to the walled enclosure, mark the subdivision of Roman provinces and leave in evidence the power of the great Roman empire. The arch was declared a National Historic Artistic Monument in 1930.
Dating studies indicate that the monument was erected during the reign of Emperor Hadrian (117-138 AD), in the 2nd century AD. The measurements of the complex are 13.20 m. long, 2'10 m. wide and 8'10 m. tall.
From here you can contemplate the excellent view of the hill where the celtiberian town (Occilis) stood, the valley of Arbujuelo and the valley of Jalon, as well as the salt pans.
The arch is used as Spain Historic site symbol throughout the country.
