A memorial plaque to honor a wonderful love story, that was filmed on Mackinac Island in 1979.
In 1979, a wonderful love story was filmed on Mackinac Island. The movie opened to poor reviews (there was an actor strike during the release so the actors could not make their rounds to all of the talk shows) the following summer, but it gained a strong following after being shown on cable. Admirers of the movie formed a fan club shortly afterwards, and they began having an annual get-
together on Mackinac Island in late October to celebrate their love for the movie. With funds raised from fans of the film, this plaque was built and placed in a special spot on Mackinac Island.
