Albany is known for a number of pieces of history. Perforated toilet paper patent. Home of the first USPS mascot. It's even the place where Benjamin Franklin held a meeting in 1757 to build a Plan of the Union which eventually became the United States. But Albany also has some railroad history too!
Welcome to the place where the first passenger steam train in the US had a terminal. If you look carefully at a street map, you can tell that the route once traveled is now Melrose Avenue (NW) of here. It continued through what is now Harriman Campus, on ultimately on to Schenectady.
