Clendenan Dam
Come enjoy the Clendenan Conservation Area. There are some good trails to explore and the millpond is alive with birds and wildlife.
In the parking lot is an information panel which provides an abridged but concise history of the dam and area. Please take the time to read the panels and ejoy the area. The site is named after the second owner George Clendenan who is my great grandfather on my mothers side of the family. Family history indicates that the original dam was actually built by his father in law but those supported details have been lost in time.....
To prove you visited the dam and to log a find:
1. Go to the top of the dam and locate the Ontario Well Tag number (7 characters) and the prominent 5 digit number on the nearby hydro box. Do not post a picture of these numbers in your log. Send this information to my geocaching profile (dadndaughter)
2. Provide a photo of yourself (you do not have to show your face) or a personal item at the posted coordinates to confirm you were there".
Additional photos of the dam, spillway, or millpond posted with your log are welcomed. Found logs without me having received the required info in a timely manner will be deleted.
I hope you can spend some more time here and enjoy the trails and find other caches located in the Clendenan Conservation area.
