The Rock Astronomical Observatory is a co-development by Charles Sturt University and Lockhart Shire Council and The Rock Progress Association. The Observatory is intended to be used for education and research activities, as well as for visitors and tourists.
The Building houses an Optimised Dall-Kirkhams ODK16 telescope.
The Observatory was opened on 18th February, 2022.
THE OBSERVATORY IS OPEN EACH SATURDAY EVENING FOR THE USE OF VISITORS AND STAR GAZERS.
