Geocache Description:

"Sunsweep"

Welcome to The Whale Trail. Located along this trail is "Sunsweep". A five foot high arch-shaped sculpture made of granite that was designed and executed by an internationally known sculptor David Barr. Sunsweep is a three-part sculptural concept which symbolically joins the United States and Canada borders. Because the long border between Canada and the US lies under the path of the sun as it moves from east to west, Barr’s work is called Sunsweep. Placed in November 1985, to the people of this community as a symbol of international friendship.

To log this virtual you must post an unique photo with your hand/hands placed on the hands of the 'Sunsweep' sculpture.
