The Mayo Memorial

This Virtual Cache honors William and Charles Mayo for their contributions to the field of medicine and to the history of the City of Rochester.
The city of Rochester was founded in 1854, but the event that made it become known around the world was the establishment of the Mayo Clinic by brothers William and Charles Mayo. Today, the Mayo Clinic serves over 1.3 million patients a year from all over the world and is recognized as one of the top medical institutions.
The two stages of this Virtual Cache are contained within the Mayo Memorial Park, which encompasses the confluence of the South Fork Zumbro River and Bear Creek, and you will visit both sides of the river to log this cache.
