The Veterans Walk of Honor pays tribute to the men and women of Josephine County who have served in the armed forces. It is located on the grounds of the Merlin Community Park in Merlin, OR. The "little hamlet" of Merlin, an unincorporated community, is located northeast of Grants Pass and recieved its name from the merlins (a type of falcon) that were seen in the area. It is known for its sport fishing and white water rafting on the Rogue River. Parts of several movies have been filmed on its turbulant waters, including "The River Wild", "Rooster Cogburn", and "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid".
The coordinates will take you to the memorial area. There is limited parking by the Sheriff's Sub Station The park is open from sunrise to sunset. Please do not do this cache unless it is during daylight hours.
