Welcome to St. Louis Canyon Falls at Starved Rock State Park. This place is special to me and racer2814. We have been coming here every year since 1988. Illinois State Parks are Free thanks to our tax dollars. Hope you enjoy your visit.
Check waypoints for recommended parking. Head down the old road about a 1/4 mile and you will arrive at a set of stairs, 24 steps down, turn right and 34 steps up. Stay to the right at the split ahead. The trail is mostly sand, pine needles, and tree roots, sometimes mud. There are a few more steps along the way and a creek crossing on 2x4s. From the steps it is about 1/3 mile to the waterfall. Total round trip of approximately 1.2 miles.
Logging Requirement - Post a photo with the Waterfall and a piece of paper with your caching name and date on it. You can be in the photo if you want but you don't have to be. You may also include a personal item such as your gps, car keys, or some signature item if you choose to not be in the photo. Goal is to make your photo unique. NO Photoshopped photos!!
