Monastir Habib Bourguiba International Airport
Monastir Habib Bourguiba International Airport, IATA: MIR, is an airport serving Monastir and Sousse areas in Tunisia. The airport is named after the former president Habib Bourguiba, who was born in Monastir.
Tunisia, a gateway between the Sahara Desert and the Mediterranean Sea, offers its visitors a unique experience with its lovely scented jasmines, whitewashed houses, 1,200-km coast, and cultural and historical treasures. Turkish TAV a member of Groupe ADV took over (67%) the operation of the airport (+ Efindha Airport) in 2008, TAV holds the right to operate the airport until May 2047. In 2010, Monastir Habib Bourguiba airport was proudly selected the best emerging airport in Africa.
