Geocache Description:

Please pay attention to the instructions. There are 2 waypoints and 3 questions to answer.

Welcome to Peggy's Cove, one of Nova Scotia's most-photographed areas. When you visit this location, you'll understand the appeal. Peggy's Cove is rich in beauty, geologically unique. No matter when, or how often, you visit, you will see something uniquely photogenic. The area is one of the most visited and recognizable in Atlantic Canada, with its iconic lighthouse, colorful buildings and majestic appeal. If you decide to spend time here, there are several well-established hiking trails in the area.

Peggy's Cove is rumored to be named after the mother of Samuel de Champlain, who named St. Margaret's Bay (Peggy, being a nickname for Margaret).

Nearby is one of the memorials erected for the victims of Swissair's flight 111, which crashed off Peggy's Cove in 1998. Please consider stopping by to remember the victims.

When visiting Peggy's Cove, stay off the black rocks! People die here every year, when slipping or being swept away by the common rogue waves. Please don't be a statistic.
