This Virtual cache requires you to visit the Tyrendarra Indienous Protected Area, part of the Budj Bim Cultural Landscape, which was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2019.

The Budj Bim network of channels, weirs and dams was engineered and used by the Gunditjmara to trap and harvest kooyang (short-finned eels) for at least 6,600 years is recognised as one of the world's largest and oldest freshwater aquaculture system leading to its inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2019 for its Outstanding Universal Value
Today, the Gunditimara's traditional knowledge and connection with Country remain strong. Stone weirs are maintained, eels caught, and gnarraban (fibre baskets) woven following age-old techniques.
LOGGING REQUIREMENTS

There is public access and upgrades undertaken during 2021 including a new pedestrian bridge, boardwalks and signage have improved the visitor experience significantly.
In order to log this cache you will need to post a photgraph with your log clearing showing the National Heritage Listing sign at the given coordinates, The photo must also contain either yourself of something with your caching name clearly identifying that you were at the site.
