Geocache Description:

Welcome to Harris Hill, The Soaring Capital of America!

Harris Hill is another gem of the Finger Lakes that should be on everyone's bucket list. The area is best known for soaring but also has a beautiful view, picnic area with an awesome playground, amusement park, Youth Center Camp and the Chemung County Youth Bureau. The National Soaring Museum has a wealth of information about gliders, offers rides to the public, training, friendly competitions, and social events. Harris Hill area holds a special place in my memories with family picnics and glider watching.
