Lake Wales has 21 murals throughout the downtown area. The first mural was completed in 1942 and the most recent was 2021. Each mural has a story that highlights people, events, and specific areas of Lake Wales. Most of the murals are outside with the exception of three.The murals range in size from small panel on a wall, an entire wall of a building, and even the square area of two intersecting streets.
