Mit einer Höhe von 25 Metern und einem Stammumfang von 11 Metern gilt die Linner Linde als der mächtigste Baum des Aargaus.
Die Legende besagt, dass die Linde zum Gedenken an die Pest von einem der letzten übrigbleibenden Dorfbewohner gestiftet wurde. Die Pest wütete im Dorf Linn im 16/17. Jahrhundert besonders heftig. Das tatsächliche Alter der Linde ist aber weit höher, man geht von rund 800 Jahren aus.

Viele Schulreisen kommen an der Linde vorbei und an schönen Wochenenden findet man hier keinen Parkplatz mehr. Bei klarer Sicht sieht man die Habsburg und bis in die Alpen.
Ein Baumpfleger kümmert sich um diesen alten Baum, auch eine Bewässerung ist vorhanden. So wird uns hoffentlich dieser imposante Baum noch lange erhalten bleiben.

With a height of 25 meters and a trunk circumference of 11 meters, the Linner Linde tree is considered the most powerful tree in Aargau.
Legend has it that the linden tree was donated to commemorate the plague by one of the last remaining villagers. The plague raged particularly fiercely in the village of Linn in the 16/17th century. However, the actual age of the lime tree is much higher, it is assumed to be around 800 years old.

Many school trips pass by the lime tree and on nice weekends you won't find a parking place here. On a clear day you can see the Habsburg and as far as the Alps.
An arborist takes care of this old tree and there is also an irrigation system. So hopefully this imposing tree will remain with us for a long time.
