Geocache Description:

This virtual cache will have you standing by a very unusual 65-foot tall Water Tower, which was built in the early 1880s, and in the same style as the nearby Oakbourne Mansion. When it was first constructed, the tower housed two 500 gallon water tanks which provided both running water and fire protection for the mansion. This unique structure also provided a secondary function as a great lookout location from which to view the surrounding countryside.

For anyone who might wonder what this building actually looks like on the inside, you can watch a nicely done short video that will allow you to have a quick Virtual Tour of the inside of the Water Tower Structure. Just click Here or tap on the picture below...

To claim a proper credit for this Virtual Cache, please message the CO with the answer to the following question:

First, see the Hint for Help, then:  Name of the "CLUB" that provided financial contributions for the restoration of the Water Tower?

Also, if you wish (but not required):  Take a fun photo of yourself standing by the Oakbourne Park Water Tower.

Have Fun and Happy Caching!
