Over the years other imposters of weather prediction have tried to get in on the act ,but everyone knows that there is only on true seer of seers, prognosticator of all prognosticators.

When people travel to Punxsutawney to see where Phil the groundhog makes his annual weather prediction, they often spend fruitless time searching downtown, because that's where it was located in the movie Groundhog Day. The real location is a couple of miles out of town, in a little clearing at the top of a wooded hill.
Gobbler's Knob doesn't look like it gets many visitors outside of February 2nd. Everything, however, is left in place for the off-season traveler: the big stage, the "Punxsy Phil" sign, and even Phil's simulated tree stump. You can stand center stage and make your own weather forecast for an imaginary audience (just make sure to leave the place the way that you found it).
While your there take a walk on the Gobbler’s Knob Trail that was added to the world-famous Gobbler’s Knob. Along the trail you will enjoy metal art, educational and informational signage, a few Geocaches and the natural beauty of the area. If you wish to do so and since the bonus cache for the "Groundhog Day! : Punxsutawney Phil Bonus" Adventure Lab (GC911GY) is located on Visitors Center Grounds, at Gobblers Knob, you may want to coordinate your virtual with the Adventure Lab Bonus.
The Gobbler's Knob Visitors center is also located on the grounds and houses many historical and rare Groundhog Club, Groundhog Day, and Punxsutawney Phil items. A must-see location and free to the public.

Looking at stage as you walk down. At the center of the top step on the right hand side is a paver brick with the name of a local bank sponser. What is the banks name? Winter time may require you to dust a little bit snow away.
