The Human Sundial at Oxley Hill
This sundial enables you to tell the time using your own shadow.
Instructions For Telling The Time
1. Stand on today's date on the 'figure of eight', facing the hour marker stones with the Sun behind you.
2. Turn your body so that you are looking along your own shadow.
3. If you are not tall enough for your shadow to reach the hour stones, raise both your arms straight above your head to make your shadow as long as possible.
4. The position of your shadow on the hour marker stones then gives you Australian Eastern Standard Time
5. In the months of daylight savings, you must remember to add one hour to the time indicated by your shadow.
Here is an example of how to use the sundial to tell the time:

Logging Requirements
Take a photo of yourself using the sundial - as intended - to tell the time. Include this photo with your online log.
Photo Notes/Tips:
You must use the sundial to tell the time for the day & time that you visited.
Your photo must clearly show your shadow.
Your shadow must be made from natural light.
Ideally, your shadow should reach the hour stones.
Your photo should clearly identify you or something showing your caching name.
Bonus Points: State the time of day you visited in your online log.
Logs which do not meet the requirements will be deleted without notice.
