Welcome to PEI!
Prince Edward Island offers 5660 km2 of beautiful landscapes, beaches, lighthouses, potatoes, fresh seafood, maritime entertainment and so much more! Odds are you have just crossed (or are about to cross) the longest bridge in the world crossing ice-covered water (12.9km), and this vantage point makes for some great photography. Whether you are looking to cache your way from tip-to-tip or explore the red sand beaches of the south shore, there is something for everyone on this gentle island.
You will notice a series of plaques encircling the monument at GZ. These plaques share the names of many people who worked on the old Abegweit ferry (which ran the waters that the bridge now spans) or past CN railway workers (Island rails have been replaced by a beautiful trail system across the island). In order to claim this cache:
1) Message me the final name on the last plaque facing the bridge
2) Post a pic taken within 30 feet of GZ
Thank you for stopping at this beautiful park and be sure to grab the other nearby caches!
